Platt argues that we have lost our way. We have become too focused on ourselves and our own comfort and have forgotten the call to serve others. He writes, "We have become a people who are more concerned with our own rights and privileges than with the needs of others. We have become a people who are more concerned with our own comfort and security than with the suffering of others."

Platt challenges us to repent of this selfishness and to embrace a life of service. He writes, "We need to repent of our selfishness and our pride. We need to repent of our desire for comfort and security. We need to repent of our indifference to the suffering of others."

Platt offers a practical guide to living a life of service. He writes, "We need to be willing to sacrifice our own comfort and security for the sake of others. We need to be willing to step outside of our own comfort zones and to serve those who are different from us. We need to be willing to love our enemies and to pray for those who persecute us."

Serving the World in Christlike Humility is a challenging book, but it is also a hopeful one. Platt reminds us that we are not alone in this journey. He writes, "We have a God who is with us. We have a God who loves us and who wants to help us to live a life of service."

If you are ready to be challenged, if you are ready to live a life of service and humility, then I encourage you to read Serving the World in Christlike Humility. It will change your life.
